As the Chief Executive Officer of the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB) John DiMichele brings together a wealth of professional experience, the practitioner’s perspective, and an intimate understanding of both technology and the real estate landscape.
John worked in the Real Estate profession initially as a salesperson and then as a Broker/Manager prior to joining TRREB’s staff as Chief Information Officer in 2002. As CIO John was responsible for all technology and for introducing and overseeing a variety of notable initiatives.
As TRREB’s CEO John’s key priorities are the protection of privacy and MLS® data intellectual property rights while overseeing the creation of a future facing MLS® system. Another major initiative is the research and optimization of the economic competitiveness and livability of the Greater Golden Horseshoe Region. In 2015 he initiated TRREB’s annual Market Year in Review & Outlook Report which consults policy makers and stakeholders from various sectors on key areas of housing supply and infrastructure improvement for a better future.
John has served on a wide range of committees and Boards of Directors in organizations of varying sizes including TRREB. Over the years he has also contributed to the efforts of the Ontario Real Estate Association and the Canadian Real Estate Association Board of Directors while Chair of the MLS® and Technology Council. He was also a founding member and remains a current member of the MLS® Home Price Index group. John currently participates on 2 North American MLS and technology think tanks and the Council of MLS Board of Directors. John has been recognized by the Swanepoel T3 Sixty Group. He was also named in the Real Estate Professionals publication’s list of top industry leaders.
